League of Science Fiction Explorers

Every great journey begins with a single page.

Saturday, September 26th – 9:00-10:00 AM
Curious Owl Bookshop

Join us for the monthly meeting of the League of Science Fiction Explorers, Curious Owl Bookshop’s official Science Fiction Book Club.

Whether you’re fascinated by distant galaxies, time travel, artificial intelligence, alternate histories, first contact, or the technologies of tomorrow, you’ll find fellow explorers here.

Each month we gather to discuss our featured science fiction selection, share theories, compare notes, and enjoy conversation with people who still look up at the night sky and wonder.

There are no membership fees and no pressure. Simply read the month’s featured book and join us.

This month’s featured book:

The Star Beast

by Robert A. Heinlein

John Thomas Stuart XI has grown up with Lummox, a lumbering eight-legged alien who has been the family pet for generations. When Earth decides Lummox is too dangerous to keep, John Thomas refuses to give him up – and discovers that the creature everyone thought was a pet may be something far older, far smarter, and far more important to the stars. Classic Heinlein adventure with friendship, first contact, and a question at the heart of it: who gets to decide what counts as a person?

Copies of The Star Beast are available now at Curious Owl Bookshop. Stop in, grab a copy, and read along with us before we meet on September 26.

Bring your curiosity. The journey starts on the page.
