Welcome to The Order of the Black Knight, Curious Owl Bookshop’s weekly gathering for chess players of every skill level.

Every Sunday afternoon at 2:00, the boards come out and the games begin. Come looking for a worthy opponent, a casual game, or simply a chance to learn. Experienced players are welcome, beginners are encouraged, and if it has been twenty years since you last sat across a chessboard, we’ll save you a chair.

There are no rankings to qualify, no tournaments you have to enter, and no requirement that you actually know what the Sicilian Defense is.

Just strategy, imagination, good company, and one of the greatest games ever devised.

Bring your own chess set if you have a favorite, or simply bring yourself.
